myshow.lk takes the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use myshow.lk, how we use it, who we share it with and how we protect it.

Our commitment

We never sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We collect only what we need to sell you tickets, get you into the event and run a safe service.

Information we collect

When you create an account: your name, email address, Sri Lankan mobile number and National Identity Card (NIC) number.
When you buy tickets: your name, email and mobile number, the tickets you choose and, for events that require it, your NIC and the names of the people attending.
When you pay: the payment reference, amount and status from our payment partner. We never receive or store your card number or security code.
When you subscribe: your email address, if you sign up for news about upcoming events.
When you contact us: the details you give us so we can reply.
When you visit the site: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, used to keep the service secure and working well.

How we use your information

To issue your tickets and send your order and payment confirmations.
To let entrance staff check your tickets and, for events that check ID, confirm that the ticket holder matches.
To tell you about anything that affects your order, such as changes, postponements, cancellations and refunds.
To match payments to orders and process refunds.
To detect and prevent fraud, misuse, ticket touting and other unlawful activity, and to enforce our terms and conditions.
To fix problems and improve the site, using information in a form that does not identify you wherever possible.
To send news about upcoming events, only if you have opted in. You can stop these at any time.

We share your information only where it is needed to provide the service:

Event organisers receive the name, contact details and order information of people attending their events, so they can run the event and contact attendees about it. They never see your NIC in full.
Our payment partner, PayHere, processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
Service providers that host the site and deliver our emails, who may use your information only to provide those services to us.

We may also share summary information that does not identify anyone, for example the number of tickets sold for an event.

When we may disclose information

We may disclose personal information if the law requires it, if a court or authority lawfully asks for it, or where it is necessary to protect our users, organisers or myshow.lk, for example to investigate fraud or a breach of our terms.

Business changes

If myshow.lk is merged with or acquired by another business, your information may be transferred as part of that change. The new owner will be required to keep protecting it in line with this policy.

How we protect your information

The site is served over encrypted connections, passwords are stored in a form that cannot be read back, and staff access to personal information is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere and never share your login details.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as accounting and legal obligations require. Account and marketing information is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your name, mobile number and NIC from your account profile at any time.
You can stop event news at any time by turning off “Email me about new events” in your account profile, or by emailing [email protected].
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
