Refund policy
Last updated October 2026
This Refund Policy explains when tickets bought on myshow.lk can be refunded and how refunds are made. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Please read it before you buy.
Who this policy applies to
- This policy applies to every ticket bought on myshow.lk, for every type of event, including concerts, theatre, festivals, sports and conferences.
- It applies to every payment method offered at checkout, including credit cards, debit cards and instalment (easy payment) plans.
- Some events have additional refund terms shown on the event page. Where they differ from this policy, the event's terms apply.
Our role
myshow.lk is a ticketing platform that sells tickets on behalf of event organisers. Decisions to cancel, postpone or change an event, including changes of venue, date, time or programme, are made by the organiser. We manage refunds for tickets bought on myshow.lk in line with this policy.
All sales are final
Except in the situations listed under "When you can get a refund" below, all ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds, cancellations or exchanges for any other reason, including:
- change of mind, or being unable to attend;
- buying the wrong event, date, ticket type or quantity;
- a change of venue, time or line-up, or a partial performance;
- lost or forgotten phones, deleted emails or a shared QR code;
- being refused entry for not meeting the event's conditions of entry, such as age limits or ID checks.
Please check the event, date, ticket type, quantity and your details carefully before you pay.
When you can get a refund
You can get a refund only if:
- the event is cancelled and not rescheduled; or
- the event is postponed to a new date and you request a refund within the time limit below.
Tickets that have already been scanned at the entrance cannot be refunded.
If an event is cancelled
You don't need to do anything. We will email you about the cancellation and refund your order to the original payment method automatically, after the deductions explained below.
If an event is postponed
- Your tickets stay valid for the new date and you don't need to do anything to keep them.
- If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within seven (7) bank working days of the date we send the postponement notice by email or SMS, or publish it on our official channels.
- To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order reference within that period.
- Refund requests for postponed events received after the seven-bank-working-day period will not be accepted.
What will be refunded
- Refunds cover the face value of the tickets, which is the ticket price set by the organiser after any promo discount.
- Booking fees, service charges and handling fees are non-refundable.
- Applicable government taxes and levies, and any bank or payment processing charges, may be deducted from the refund.
- We will tell you the amount being refunded when your refund is processed.
Whole orders only
Partial cancellations are not permitted. A refund cancels the entire order, and every ticket on it stops working at the entrance. The refund is made to the payment method used for the order.
Instalment (easy payment) plans
If you paid using an instalment or easy payment plan, the refund is made through the instalment provider to the card used for the plan, after the deductions above. How the refund is applied to any remaining instalments is decided by the provider and your card issuer.
How long refunds take
Once processed, refunds usually reach your account within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We will email you when your refund has been processed.
Tickets bought elsewhere
This policy covers only tickets bought on myshow.lk. Tickets bought from an organiser directly, at a box office or from another seller must be refunded by that seller.
